About ScamShield AI

ScamShield AI by Viper AI Digital Creations is a scam awareness tool. You paste a suspicious message and get a risk assessment, the warning signs found in it, and safer next steps — written in plain English for families, seniors, students and new arrivals.

How ScamShield works

You paste the text of a message, or upload a screenshot so the text can be read from it. ScamShield combines two things: a set of rule-based checks for known scam patterns (urgency, payment demands, login links, code requests, mismatched senders) and an AI language model that reads the wording in context.

The result is a risk rating, the specific warning signs found, a plain-English explanation, and next steps — including what not to do. You can save a result to your own history or report it.

Methodology

Risk ratings are based on patterns commonly seen in reported scams: pressure and urgency, unexpected links or attachments, requests for one-time codes or remote access, unusual payment methods, impersonation of banks and government services, and offers with unrealistic returns.

Educational guides in the scam library describe how each scam works, its warning signs, and the recommended response. They are written and reviewed by the ScamShield team and updated as scam tactics change.

AI limitations

ScamShield AI provides risk analysis and educational guidance. It cannot guarantee that every scam will be detected, and a low risk result is not proof that a message is genuine. AI can misread unusual wording, translated text, images and very short messages.

Always confirm anything important directly with the organisation involved, using contact details you look up yourself — never the ones in the message.

Privacy and data handling

The message you submit is sent for AI analysis so it can be assessed. It is not attached to your account unless you choose to save the result. Saved results and your account data are only visible to your own signed-in account.

Don't paste more personal information than necessary — remove full card numbers, passwords and identity document numbers before checking a message.

Security

Accounts use email or Google sign-in with encrypted connections. Saved history and account records are protected by per-user access rules so one account cannot read another's data. Payments for credits are processed by Stripe; card details are never handled by ScamShield.

Editorial standards

Guides describe scam tactics and safe responses only. We do not accuse named individuals or businesses, we do not claim certifications, endorsements or partnerships we don't have, and we do not publish invented statistics, reviews or testimonials.

Where official resources are referenced — such as Scamwatch (National Anti-Scam Centre), ReportCyber and IDCARE in Australia — they are attributed to the organisation that runs them.

What ScamShield is not

ScamShield AI is general scam awareness information. It is not legal, financial, immigration or cyber-security advice, and it does not recover money or investigate scammers. If money or identity details are at risk, contact your bank and the official reporting services first.

Contact

Questions about using the app can be asked in the in-app help chat. For reporting a scam, see where to report a scam for official contacts in your country.
